Reiki and my Colonoscopy

Yesterday I had a colonoscopy. This was a run-of-the-mill-you're-over-50 peek at my colon. Although I was nervous at what they might find, I was more nervous because I was seeing a new doctor for this exam and I was being completely sedated which was all new to me as well. So how do I calm my nerves? With Reiki of course. I used Reiki healing before I had to do the cleansing the previous day, and the process, although not wonderful, was no where no the unpleasant experience it could have been. As for the procedure itself, I again did another healing on myself the morning of the procedure and found that even though I was nervous, I wasn't as freaked out as I could have been and found myself relaxed once I was on the table. Once I was hooked up to the intravenous apparatus, I was fine and the next thing I knew I was done. I had very little grogginess or discomort afterwards and spent the rest of the day relaxing and happy that my colonoscopy gave me a clean bill of health (at least for my colon). Reiki is wonderful for these types of situations. Any minor or major trip to the doctor can quickly be releived by a Reiki healing session. I might add that even though I was nervous, all my vital signs were good including my blood pressure which tends to spike during these medical procedures. I have Reiki to thank for that. When you surround yourself with positive energy and allow that energy to flow through you, all good things are possible. Blessings, love and light!

For the Non-Believer

Guess what? Reiki works even if you don't believe in it. In other words, your beliefs will not impact the energy at all. The only thing that ever impacts Reiki energy is the Reiki healer's intent. For example, if my intent is to send energy to you, you can count on that, even if you don't necessarily believe it will work. Some Reiki healers won't send energy without the permission of the intended recipient. However, Reiki energy is positive energy that even if it were to come back to the healer, it would have no negative impact on that person. I've often sent healing energy to people I know who could use it without their consent with no negative impact for either one of us. Reiki energy is positive, healing energy that trumps any negative and/or non believers. Blessings!

How Does Reiki Work?

This is probably the most common questions I get. I don't know that anyone actually knows exactly how Reiki works. In fact, I've heard other Reiki healers admit that even they are skeptical at times about how it works. The think about Reiki is no one needs to know how it works or even if it does work, it just does! Energy is the most powerful thing in the universe that we can generate. We generate energy every second of the day and I believe, our own energy is so powerful that it exists long after we die. Energy can travel anywhere and everywhere and can change the outcome of anyone's life (think about the law of attraction for instance). Also, as a Reiki practitioner, even though I use hand placements, Reiki energy will go anywhere in the body it needs to go even without hand placements. I sometimes think the hand placements are more for me and less for the recipient. As a Reiki practitioner, I have chosen to think less about how it works and more about the fact that it just does work. I feel constantly amazed and blessed by it each and every day!

Long Distance Healing

I'm sorry for the delayed post, but my 87 year old mom took a bad fall and broke her hip. My mom and I do not live in the same states, so one of the things I am doing for her is sending her long-distance Reiki healing. Reiki energy can travel anywhere I intend to send it and that's just one of the amazing things about Reiki energy. Also, the energy that I send either hands on or long distance, will go exactly where it needs to go without me even knowing a specific complaint. Often, the energy I feel in my hands will tell me where the problem is even before knowing. You may be wondering why, if my mom broke her hip, I would send Reiki to her. The fact is, if someone is going to be having surgery, Reiki is so great in helping reduce stress and anxiety. Surgeons have reported that patients who have had Reiki prior to surgery, have experienced less blood loss and faster healing afterwards. I have spoken to my mom after each energy healing, and she sounds surprisingly calm even in the face of impending surgery. Also, when I send Reiki, it helps me as well so it's a win/win situation for everyone. Blessings, light and magic to you all.

Healing Energy For A Stressful World

Welcome to my new blog about Reiki healing. I am a Reiki practitioner and I have a lot of friends who don't know what Reiki healing is all about. In fact, many people just don't know enough about Reiki so I am here to educate you and hopefully allow me to help you be your very best self. Reiki originated in Japan and is a form of energy healing. It's just that simple! Many people don't know how it really works, but the best thing about Reiki is that you don't have to understand or even believe in it for it to work. Having a Reiki session is very much like having a relaxing afternoon nap. You may not fall asleep during the session, but when it is over, you will feel relaxed, yet energized all at the same time.
